Percayso Inform has entered into a multi-year partnership with Caravan Guide, the specialist caravan valuation and market intelligence platform, securing exclusive distribution of Caravan Guide’s valuation data and intelligence into the insurance sector.

Under the agreement, Percayso Inform will use Caravan Guide’s data as an additional specialist reference point when assessing and validating caravan values with insurance providers and loss adjusters, feeding into Percayso’s Intelligence Hub, the company’s data intelligence platform.

The partnership is built to grow during the contract term. Caravan Guide plans to develop further products beyond static caravans to cover touring caravans and motorhomes, widening the range of assets Percayso can support insurers across.

Caravan values can be influenced by a wide range of factors, including age, specification, condition, layout, manufacturer, location, market demand and refurbishment, and, in the case of static caravans, the park and pitch.

The partnership aims to bring greater consistency, transparency and confidence to caravan valuations, drawing on structured market data, detailed model information, specifications and industry research.

Caravan Guide has been developed specifically for the caravan market and has built its own valuation methodology and market intelligence, using data gathered directly from caravan buyers and sellers.

A consistent, evidence-based benchmark gives buyers, sellers, dealers, parks, insurers and other stakeholders a common starting point for discussions.

Alan Atkins, Director of Caravan Guide, said: “The ambition is to create a trusted source of caravan knowledge, valuation and market intelligence that can be used across the industry. “That includes dealers, manufacturers, holiday parks, insurers, finance providers, loss adjusters, traders and private customers.

“We want to help reduce uncertainty, improve confidence and create a more transparent market where people have better information available when making decisions about caravan assets.

“The relationship with Percayso is an important step in that journey because it allows us to combine our specialist caravan knowledge and data with an established business operating in the wider data intelligence space.

“We’re very excited about the potential of the relationship and, importantly, about what we can develop together beyond the initial partnership.”

David Kelly, Commercial Director at Percayso Inform, added: “For Percayso, the partnership makes us the exclusive route for Caravan Guide’s specialist valuation data into the insurance sector, backed by a dedicated source of market intelligence built specifically for caravans.

“We believe there is a real opportunity to create something considerably more useful than either business could achieve independently.

“The ultimate objective is to give the industry greater confidence in caravan values, and to make conversations between buyers, sellers, dealers, parks, insurers and other stakeholders more open and informed.”
